I got a Driving under the influence (DUI) charge and the officer said that I would get my license back after my suspension period was up. Where do I go to get my license?
Once a driver's license is confiscated for a DUI, it gets turned into the General District Court along with the copy of the Administrative License Suspension that was issued to you. When the term marked on the Administrative License Suspension is complied with, the General District Court will either mail your driver's license to the address listed on the license or hold it until you come to the General District Court to retrieve it, whichever you chose during your arrest. If you do not receive your driver's license within 5 business days of the expiration of the Administrative License Suspension, please contact 540-967-5330.
