Louisa County Restaurant Week (LCRW) is going into its 4th year. Since its inception LCRW has highlighted local eateries and that give Louisa County its flavor and flare. This year we are please to highlight not just the Louisa County staples but also a brand new restaurant eager to make its name. We were able to meet with a few restaurant owners and allow them to tell their stories. Enjoy!

We met with Chris Denkers owner & operator of Coyote Hole Ciderworks. He gave us insight about his relationship with the Louisa County, why he started Coyote Hole Ciderworks, and what makes his establishment special.

How many years have you been in business?

"We have been producing our ciders for a little over 3 years and our tasting room has been open since May of 2017, so almost 3 years."

What made you want to start your Restaurant (or Cidery) ?

"We started Coyote Hole Ciderworks because we saw a lack of attractions in the Lake Anna and Louisa County area as well as our passion for creating craft cider. We wanted to build a family friendly location that offer unique events and offerings that the area doesn
t have."

Why open your business in Louisa County?

"We have lived in Louisa County for over 10 years and love living in Louisa County. We wanted to build a
business that we were passionate about but also bring something unique to Louisa County. We wanted to build something that Louisa County residents could enjoy but also bring in people from outside of Louisa County to enjoy the community we have grown to love."

What’s the most popular dish (or Beverage) at your restaurant?

"Our most popular ciders are our Sangria ciders. Our Sangria is are a completely unique hard cider that has a base of our green apple hard cider, blended with local wine and flavors that create a light and refreshing drink that can be enjoyed by the masses."

If I were a visitor from out of town why should I come to your restaurant?

"We
offer both a wide variety of events throughout the year that are unique to the area as well as producing award winning ciders and sangria's. Our tasting room is the only location that offers most of our seasonal ciders which makes it a draw for people to visit our tasting room."
