Citizens Law Enforcement Academy
The Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy is a program designed to give individuals who are not sworn law enforcement officers an overview of the Louisa County Sheriff's Office (LCSO). Graduates of the course will have a better understanding of the operation of the LCSO, and a greater awareness and appreciation of the challenges faced by LCSO deputies each day.

Law Enforcement Adventure Program
Law Enforcement Adventure Program (LEAP) was developed to a strengthen the relationship between police and our youth, and to give them some insight into basic policing with an opportunity for some hands-on learning with local officers, in a fun, safe manner. The youth camp will not only be educational, but will also have outdoor activities, events, and competitions, to create some teamwork with officers and youth alike. It is also designed to dispel teens misconceptions of law enforcement, and law enforcement’s misconception about teens, and to give guidance to those interested in a career in the criminal justice field.

LCSO Chaplain Corps
Chaplains of all faiths work with law enforcement personnel on a professional level by making themselves immediately available as trained and caring professionals who can assist in times of loss, confusion, depression, or grief to people in crisis situations.

LCSO Foundation
The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office Foundation is a non-profit, private organization dedicated to improving the quality of law enforcement service in the County. Our priority and purpose is to raise money and collect donations to directly and entirely benefit the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office. In addition, however, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office Foundation will strive to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community.

Shield
LCSO SHIELD was established to increase community awareness of criminal and terrorism trends and incidents within the Commonwealth, United States and across the world. The LCSO SHIELD motto is “the better we are together, the safer we are as a community”. Information sharing increases preparedness, mitigation and prevention efforts which makes our communities safer. In addition, LCSO SHIELD connects members with available resources and sector specific content. LCSO SHIELD is a completely FREE outreach program. The LCSO SHIELD program is intended for both the public and private sectors, as well as civic & local community groups.

Teen Driver Challenge
The Teen Driver Challenge (TDC) is a defensive driving and vehicle control program designed for teenage drivers. The TDC is designed to provide young drivers with knowledge and understanding of vehicle dynamics and human kinetics, the forces created by an automobile, and the effects of those forces on the human body. TDC will give young drivers a strong foundation from which they can continue to develop and improve their driving skills to a consistently high level while maintaining safe driving habits. There will be a classroom portion and a behind the wheel portion.
