Project Summary

The applicants - Christopher and Katherine Myer - submitted a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application on September 15, 2023. The application states (in part, with additional details in the complete  application):

We are proposing to use the +-42.51 acres that my wife and I purchased in February of 2023, to raise livestock and other agriculture activities. We intend to raise cattle for beef production for our family. We intend to have horses for our children to learn how to ride horses and develop life skills. We also intend to grow hay to provide feed for our animals and sell the excess to other area farmers. To perform these activities, it will ultimately require us to build accessory agriculture structures and establish new fence lines.

These meetings allow the community, particularly nearby property owners, to learn about land use project applications in the Neighborhood Meeting phase. County staff will first provide application details for all the projects currently in the phase before opening the floor for discussion. Project applicants will be available to answer questions directly.
