Jordan Alvis is from Louisa County and graduated from Louisa County High School in 2003. Lt. Alvis volunteered on Holly Grove Fire Department during and after high school where he first experienced public service. In 2005, Jordan Alvis enlisted in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout and deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007 with the 10th Mountain Division. After being, Honorably Discharged from the Army Jordan Alvis worked as a Corrections Officer or the Virginia Department of Corrections. Louisa County Sheriff’s Office hired Jordan Alvis in January 2010 where he has worked as a patrol deputy/supervisor and detective. Jordan Alvis is a General Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Taser Instructor, Field Training Officer, Crisis Intervention Officer, and Special Response Team member. Jordan Alvis is currently a full-time student at Liberty University Online pursuing a degree in criminal justice. |
