The Teen Law Enforcement Academy is for high school teens between the ages of 14-19 years of age. Students of the Teen Law Enforcement Academy will have the opportunity to become familiar with the day to day operations of the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, enabling them to gain a better understanding of the policies and laws that guide an officer’s decisions. Presentations will be made by law enforcement personnel on the sheriff’s office’s mission, ethics, hiring, laws, crime prevention efforts, Communications, Emergency Operations Center, Marine Patrol, K-9, Motor Units, Crisis Negotiations, Special Response Team, officer safety techniques and investigations.
