Teen Driver Challenge

We know you want to keep your child safe in the car, both when they are toddlers and when they begin driving.  Why not get them the experience they need to become a more informed, safer and efficient driver? Traffic crashes occur every 12 seconds in the United States and are the number one cause of death among teens and young adults. Statistics show 25 to 30 percent of teen drivers will be involved in a crash during the first year of driving and are more likely to be killed in an automobile crash than any other way.  Lets stop the teens in our county from being one of those statistics.

The Louisa County Sheriff's Office is committed to keeping our young drivers safe, while doing everything possible to significantly reduce the number of injuries and deaths associated with traffic crashes.  The Teen Drivers Challenge is a hands-on course designed to give teens, under the supervision and training of certified driving instructors, the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to drive safely and reduce their chance of being involved in a crash

The Teen Driver Challenge is for licensed drivers who have had a license for at least 9 months and class will consist of 8 hours of classroom instruction and driving exercises.

Your attendance and participation in this training will provide you with lifesaving skills, techniques and education about the operation of a motor vehicle. The driving skills you will learn are the same techniques used by driving professionals, including NASCAR.
